“Whistle!” is a Japanese production presenting a television series that describes the life of a boy. Named Sho Kazamatsuri, he received the transfer from one school to another in order to fulfill his dream: to become a soccer player. His new teacher introduced Sho as a star of an excellent soccer team, Musashinomori. Soon, in spite of Sho's efforts, everyone realizes that he is a very poor player. Struggling to improve, he just wants to make his team to see his will to succeed and not his small stature.  

Talking about Whistle Manga book, we can say that it had a great success in Japan and soon it became very popular in many other countries. Today, it has many North American's fans. As a result, the story was also adapted for video games including versions for PlayStation and Game Boy Advanced. Additionally, the book received very good reviews especially for its well-executed drawings. The critics were impressed by the story line and especially by the drawings used by the author. These are so good that even the kids who do not have any soccer skills or background are going to enjoy Whistle Manga.  

Actually, the production has nothing special. There are no sensational facts happening and even the art is not that exceptional. Even more, its main characters who are leading the action are quite similar with other manga heroes. However, many people love reading manga mostly because the characters succeed where others have failed. Whistle Manga has a great and at the same time rare quality; and it is not only about its drawings. It is about the rare quality provided by a very good writing. The author is actually the one calling you back again and again. You know that it is a good manga from the very first moment, very first line. It has many chapters and of course, you can put it down at any time you wish. Only that you find yourself reading another chapter and then, one more; after that, you are going to bed thinking about what is going to happen next. And this is actually a good manga; the one that calls you back again.    

Overall, the series is enjoyable and funny presenting great characters. Even though the story is a fictional production, as it does not respect the soccer's rules and some of the situations are quite unrealistic, it is still loved by many people. Most of them find “Whistle!” a great way to relax and have fun.
